Innovative solutions sought for the design of flexible office workspaces
Austrian manufacturer of wood-based materials Fritz Egger GmbH is looking for innovative ideas and solutions for the design of flexible and modern office workspaces. The combination of home office and fixed office workplaces result in inefficient use of workspace. The company wants to adapt the existing workspace and design new office buildings to the company’s needs to increase attractiveness to employees and support the identification with the company. In the framework of a regional innovation challenge, selected start-ups should offer office workspace solutions under a service agreement or commercial agreement with technical assistance.
As part of a regional innovation program, an Austrian company Fritz Egger GmbH is looking for start-ups in Europe and beyond with innovative ideas for the design of flexible office workspaces. The company is a manufacturer and full-service supplier for chipboard and melamine faced chipboards for furniture and interior design, structural timber construction and wood-based flooring (laminate, cork and design flooring). The family-run company, which was founded in 1961, has customers worldwide in the furniture industry, the wood and flooring distribution and DIY stores.
Currently the company works in a traditional workspace environment where every employee is located on a fixed workplace. Due to different reasons, such as home office or business trips, the desks are frequently neither staffed nor utilized for other purposes. Further, the increasing number of employees leads to a significant shortage in workspace in general. Consequently, the limited available space is used inefficiently.
The company is looking for a novel workspace concept which tackles the workspace efficiency problem in a holistic approach. The solution should further provide an attractive work environment and support the identification with the company. To get the most out of the future office workspace, the company is open to any solution, from idea stage to concrete work concepts.
